Post-Doctoral Fellowship Duke University Department of Political Science

Starting date: September 1, 2020 Tenure period: 12 months, possibly renewable

The position is to assist in the data collection and analysis within the project DALP II (Democratic Accountability and Linkages Project II), a follow-up on a global expert dataset on political linkage mechanisms in multi-party democracies and hybrid regimes constructed in 2008-9 (https://sites.duke.edu/democracylinkage/ ). The successful candidate should have completed her/his Ph.D. and conducted research in the area of democratic linkage mechanisms, particularly on clientelistic exchange relations, either within the framework of the Ph.D. project or ancillary research projects. Experience with field research in developing countries would be an advantage, as research-related travel may be involved.
