Postdoctoral Associate Position - Dr. Tuan Vo-Dinh Group
Duke University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in an inter disciplinary research environment in Prof. Tuan Vo-Dinh's Lab (http://www.vodinh.pratt.duke.edu/) at the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (www.fitzpatrick.duke.edu), Duke University.
An ideal candidate for this position will be an individual with a Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, molecular spectroscopy, nanophotonics, nanochemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
There will be significant opportunities for professional growth, including authorship of scientific publications, inventorship on patent applications, contributions to professional grant applications, presentations and scientific conferences, and other career development activities.
A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on innovative research projects within the scope of investigating and developing: (1) advanced biosensor technologies using optical detection (Raman, SERS, luminescence, etc.), (2) nanotechnologies for environmental and medical applications, and (3) novel photo-immunotherapies for various diseases such as cancer.
