Postdoctoral Research Associates School of Civil and Environmental Engineering Cornell University The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University seeks two postdoctoral research associates. These positions will be located at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, USA. Each position is initially available for one year with a potential renewal for a total of two years. One position involves research and development of large-scale network models and solution procedures for the design and analysis of infrastructure systems including electric power under earthquake hazard. Skills required include optimization and, ideally some power systems knowledge. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in civil engineering, electrical engineering, operations research, or closely related field. The second position is focused on data analytics and hurricane evacuation modeling. Skills desired are in the space of data analytics. Again, candidates should hold a Ph.D. in civil engineering, statistics, operations research, or closely related field.
