The Department of Statistical Science at Duke University is offering two postdoc positions under the direction of Li Ma (http://www.stat.duke.edu/~lm186/).
The positions will focus on statistical modeling and method development for complex multivariate data arising from high-throughput biological experiments. One research area focuses on developing models and methods for high-dimensional compositional data from microbiome sequencing experiments such as 16S and metagenomic shotgun sequencing. Another research area involves developing statistical models and methods for single-cell experiments from immunological studies including flow and mass cytometry data. The main responsibilities of these positions include models/methods development, software implementation, data analysis, and manuscript writing. Interested parties should submit a cover letter describing their research interests and experiences along with a CV and the contact information for three references in Academic Jobs Online (https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/16920).
