Applications are solicited for one postdoctoral position at the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park, focused on the interface of quantum information science, quantum field theory, and nuclear physics. The primary focus of the research will be on analog quantum simulations on near-term and future atomic and optical platforms for applications in nuclear and high-energy physics.
The post-doc researcher will work at the new Physical Sciences Complex on the campus of UMD, with a close proximity to a strong and diverse community of faculty, fellows, and researchers at the Maryland Center for Fundamental Physics (https://mcfp.physics.umd.edu/), the Joint Quantum Institute (https://jqi.umd.edu/), and the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (https://quics.umd.edu/) at the UMD.

The term of the position is two years which can be renewed for an extra year upon satisfactory performance and availability of funds. In addition to salary and benefits, the position includes a modest fund to cover research-related expenditures.
