Research Assistant Professor Position in Condensed Matter Theory/Computational chemistry
A position for a Research assistant professor will be opening in the research group of Prof. Qimin Yan with the earliest start date of January. 1, 2021, in the area of Condensed Matter Physics/Computational Chemistry.
Applicants should have expertise and postdoctoral experience in the following areas: 1. The development and test of model Hamiltonians for density functional theory or quantum chemistry. 2. Strong background in programming in Python or Fortran, and 3. Computational work in density functional theory for molecules, bulk solids, and two-dimensional systems.
The salary will be commensurate with experience and achievement. Funding is available from the Department of Energy. The position is renewable, depending upon performance. The position remains open until filled.
