A post-doctoral position is available in the clinical diagnostics group in the Chilkoti lab at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. We develop point-of-care clinical diagnostics that democratize access to healthcare in limited resource settings (see recent publication: https://www.pnas.org/content/114/34/E7054). The candidate must have a PhD in chemistry, engineering, molecular biology, or a related scientific discipline. Previous experience in bioinstrumentation, microfluidics, point-of-care diagnostics, or related fields is beneficial. Candidates must have a strong record of publication to be eligible for consideration. The applicant must be detail-oriented, independent, well-organized, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities as needed to move the research program forward in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to research and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this team-based position.
