We are flexible as to the start time and may be able to make an appointment for a position starting as early as December 1, 2020 but, in any case no later than September 1, 2021. This postdoctoral position is in support of the research of faculty members Paulo Bedaque and Thomas D. Cohen. Current research includes lattice QCD including machine learning techniques and solutions of the sign problem, effective field theories, quantum computation applied to nuclear physics, dense quark matter, meson spectroscopy and large Nc. The group's research interests are broad; we strongly encourage young researchers interested in any aspect of strong interactions to apply. Additional collaborative opportunities exist with other faculty at the University of Maryland and nearby institutions. International candidates are encouraged to apply.
Competitive postdoctoral salary based on experience. If you have other
questions, contact Paulo Bedaque (bedaque@umd.edu). |
