The ATLAS Group at Duke University seeks an Associate in Research to work on a high-priority project on ATLAS for the major upgrade of the experiment that is under way at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. The project is based on a novel idea published in 2020. The project is in the research and development stage and the concept needs to be implemented in a prototype in early 2021 in order to demonstrate its feasibility. This task requires high skill in software programming for a short-term hire to identify Dark Matter production events at ATLAS. Interested applicants may submit their CV for consideration.
