The string theory group at Cornell invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship to begin in fall 2021. The research interests of the string group include all aspects of string theory and AdS/CFT as well as cosmology, the conformal bootstrap, and quantum field theory. The group includes faculty members Tom Hartman and Liam McAllister, as well as students and postdocs.

Applicants interested in the conformal bootstrap and related fields will also be considered for membership in the Simons Collaboration on the Nonperturbative Bootstrap (http://bootstrapcollaboration.com). Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
