Description
The Quantum Division of Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) invites applications for Tsung-Dao Lee postdoctoral research fellow starting immediately. Located in Shanghai, the most international city of China. TDLI is a newly founded international institute aiming to host world-leading scientific researches and activities. This prestigious Postdoctoral Fellowship is a two-year appointment with the possibility of one-year extension. The postdoctoral fellow is encouraged to work independently, in collaboration with faculty members and visitors of TDLI. Successful candidates are expected to conduct outstanding research in the fields of
• superconductivity, quantum magnetism
• quantum phase transitions, integrable models
• ultra-cold gases, quantum optics, and quantum information theory
• quantum many-body computations
Annual salary 312K RMB with health insurance, and 100K RMB independent research funding support.

The Tsung-Dao Lee Institute was founded in 2016 in Shanghai, China. It is jointly established by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Municipal Government of Shanghai, and jointly funded by National Science Foundation of China. Shanghai Jiao Tong University is retained and approved by the government to operate the new Institute as its contractor and trustee. The TDLI aims to boost researches in basic sciences and interdisciplinary fields via undertaking three basic missions: 1) provides a platform to foster academic training, exchange, and collaborations for worldwide physicists; 2) hosts cutting-edge research programs on most fundamental questions in particle physics, cosmology and quantum physics with potential expansion to include other related areas such as the application of quantum mechanics to bioprocesses; 3) actively engages in general public science education.
