The Department of Physics at Arizona State University seeks applicants for a postdoctoral research scholar position in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics in the group of Prof. Antia Botana to develop, implement, and apply electronic structure methods to strongly correlated electron systems. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and strong interests in density functional theory, dynamical mean-field theory, high-temperature superconductivity, strongly correlated electron systems, and magnetic properties. Anticipated start date is as early as January 1st 2021. This is a full-time, fiscal year appointment. Candidates must be within five years from receipt of their doctoral degree.

Minimum qualifications: Applicants should hold a doctorate in physics, chemistry or materials sciences by time of appointment. Strong background in density functional theory is required.

Desired qualifications: Expertise in strongly correlated electron systems, dynamical mean field theory, magnetic properties.
