The Center of Theoretical Physics at Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France) invites applications for one or more postdoctoral positions starting in Fall 2021, in the research group of Dr. Andrea Puhm funded by the ERC Starting Grant 2020-2025 'Information Encoding in Quantum Gravity and the Black Hole Information Paradox'.

We are looking for applicants with a PhD in theoretical physics and expertise in black holes, holography, asymptotic symmetries, scattering amplitudes, conformal field theory, string theory. Appointments will begin in the Fall of 2021 for a period of 2+1 years, with the third year subject to performance. More information about the position and the group can be found here.

Faculty members of the CPHT with research interests overlapping with the group include Guillaume Bossard, Emilian Dudas, Blaise Goutéraux, Marios Petropoulos, Balt van Rees, amongst others. For more information about research in the String Theory group at CPHT visit our website.

The deadline for applications is November 30th 2020. The CPHT is part of a group of European institutes with a centralized system of postdoctoral applications. Candidates should apply through the following website, choosing the CPHT as one of their preferred institutes: https://itf.fys.kuleuven.be/postdoc-application/
