The Harvard ATLAS group is now accepting applications for the position of postdoctoral research scientist. The successful candidate should have a PhD in experimental particle physics completed when the position commences. The start date can be mutually
negotiated. The Harvard ATLAS group is engaged in a variety of analysis topics, currently including novel variants of beyond the standard model physics and examinations of Higgs couplings. We are exploring the utility of machine learning in the context of these analyses. The group is also engaged in support of the ATLAS muon spectrometer and detector upgrades. The successful candidate will assist with graduate student supervision and is nominally expected to be in residence at CERN.* There is a dedicated Tier 3 Harvard facility for ATLAS physics analysis, run in associated with the Northeast Tier 2.
