Position Description:

*** this position has been closed and new applications are no longer accepted. ***

We invite applications for two ERC-funded postdoctoral positions in cosmology at the University of Geneva, starting in Fall 2021. The successful candidates will join the Cosmology and Astroparticle physics group to work with Prof. Camille Bonvin on large-scale structure, tests of gravity and dark energy. One of the position will be oriented towards theory and/or simulations and the other one towards large-scale structure observations in surveys like Euclid, DESI and the SKA.

A completed, or near to completion, PhD in Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Astronomy or a closely related area, is required. The positions are initially for two years and are renewable for a third one, subject to performance. Postdocs are required to participate in academic activities such as teaching or the organisation of seminars.

Applications should be submitted via academicjobsonline by December 7 2020. Please submit a CV, publication list, statement of research interests and the names and email addresses of three referees, who will be contacted for letters of recommendation. Late applications may still be considered until the position is filled.

The Cosmology and Astroparticle physics group is strongly involved in galaxy clustering, weak gravitational lensing, gravitational waves, dark energy, and modified gravity (see http://cosmology.unige.ch/). Members of the group with overlapping interests are: Ruth Durrer, Martin Kunz, Lucas Lombriser, Michele Maggiore and Antonio Riotto.

Salaries: CHF 81'000-93'000

Please contact Camille Bonvin at camille.bonvin@unige.ch with any questions.

In a perspective of parity, women and members of minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
