General Information 

Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP), the first ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy in Orange County, California, seeks excellent candidates to join its faculty in the Department of Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences. This full-time, calendar-year, tenure-track position is at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interest in the areas of pharmacy management and health policy.

CUSP offers PharmD and MS/PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs that address the challenges in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. Located on the Chapman University Rinker Health Science Campus in the beautiful Orange County, California, the school is rapidly growing in all areas of basic and translational research, innovative teaching, and pharmacy practice. The newly remodeled campus consists of modern-designed classrooms, research laboratories, core facilities, and vivarium equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Additionally, the Rinker Health Science Campus is strategically located near a number of biopharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device companies. Qualifications

Required
  1. A Ph.D. in Social and Administrative Sciences, or related areas with expertise in pharmacy management, health policy, health outcomes research, health services research, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, or socio-behavioral research 
  2. Candidates at the Associate Professor level must have an excellent record of teaching, publication, and extramural research grants, including active transferrable grants, commensurate with the appointment at the rank. 
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
  1. Pharmacy degree  
  2. Research and/or teaching expertise in the areas of pharmacy management and/or health policy.
Responsibilities  
  1. Teach in the PharmD and MS/PhD graduate programs. 
  2. Develop and maintain an extramurally-funded research program. 
  3. Mentor professional and graduate students. 
  4. Participate in the service activities of the department, school, and university.
