The Department of Politics at Brandeis University invites applications for a tenure-track position in International Relations at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in academic year 2021-2022. This position is subject to budget approval. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests focus on International Security. Duties include the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in International Relations, including Introduction to International Relations and U.S. Foreign Policy (or U.S. National Security); undergraduate thesis advising; graduate student advising; doctoral dissertation supervision; and university and departmental service. The course load is two courses per semester. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2021. Applicants should submit a cover letter; curriculum vitae; a statement of research and teaching interests (including potential course offerings and, where available, syllabi and student evaluations); three letters of reference; a statement on diversity, equity, and inclusion; and two chapters or article-length writing samples.
