Are you interested in genome editing, environmental science, or epigenetics? A salaried full-time research technician position with complete benefits is available in the Baugh lab in the Department of Biology at Duke University. The Associate in Research will contribute to projects investigating natural genetic variation in starvation resistance and toxin responses in nematodes with a focus on CRISPR genome editing and RNA sequencing for gene expression analysis. Full-time research experience and molecular biology skills are necessary, computational skills are desirable, and experience with nematode genetics is ideal but unnecessary. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to media and reagent preparation, molecular biology, worm culture, genetic analysis, microscopy, and microinjections.
