Professor Christopher Wildeman in the Department of Sociology is seeking to fill a bi-weekly Associate in Research position, effective immediately and ideally running through August 2021. This individual will assist in research projects considering the population of children in congregate care in the foster care system, collecting data for a project on local jails, and assist in designing a survey instrument. The position will be for 10-20 hours per week and will be roughly equally split between the three different projects. Knowledge about corrections and youth confinement in both juvenile detention facilities and congregate care is mandatory. Experiencing using the statistical package R, working in a research team, and designing surveys is preferred.
