Postdoctoral Associate position in Public Health and Community NutritionThe Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University seeks to fill a USDA-funded Postdoctoral Associate position focused on childhood obesity interventions. This individual will be supervised by Dr. Laura Bellows and join a multi-institutional interdisciplinary research team focused on the development of healthful eating and activity behaviors and environments for young children. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated research record in one or more of the following areas: public health nutrition, physical activity, childhood obesity, intervention development, m-/e-health, health disparities, psychology or child development. Qualifications:
The position will work primarily on
collaborative projects with some effort directed towards the development of
independent research products. S/he will engage in day-to-day decisions related
to intervention content development (web and digital platforms); identification
of assessment tools; creation and execution of data collection protocols for
testing of intervention components; data analysis and dissemination of research
results. The postdoctoral associate will have opportunities for grant writing,
scientific communications, and teaching/mentoring. This is a 2-year position with the
possibility of renewal.
