The Macalester College Department of Linguistics invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin fall semester of 2021. The appointment will be for one year. We welcome any specialization, but the candidate must be able to teach a course in syntax, Introduction to Linguistics, Field Methods, and two elective courses. We encourage candidates with expertise in non-Indo-European languages to apply. The teaching load is 5 courses/year. Salary and benefits are competitive.
