The Economics Department at Macalester College seeks to hire a distinguished scholar and teacher to hold the Hubert H. Humphrey visiting professorship during the 2021-22 academic year. The Humphrey Professorship was established in 1968 to strengthen international education at Macalester by bringing to campus distinguished individuals in fields relating to international affairs. Accordingly, we seek an economist whose research has a strong international component and who can offer courses that reinforce the Collegeâs strength in internationalism. The candidateâs courses and research interests will ideally complement the teaching and scholarship of the permanent faculty in the Economics Department. Ph.D. required. Responsibilities include teaching a total of three undergraduate courses.
