Position Overview: The Department of Accounting and Finance of the Girard School of Business is currently seeking applications to fill two full-time, Non-Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice positions beginning August/September 2021 (Fall 2021).

These two positions are open-ended, non-tenure track, term positions. The teaching load is normally four courses per semester that will include a combination of undergraduate- and graduate-level courses that includes in-person, hybrid and online modalities. The candidates may also assist with academic advising and select service to the department, school, and college.

Specific courses will depend on the candidate’s previous experience, expertise, and the school’s needs. Based on our current requirements, the ideal candidate would have experience in teaching one or more of the following:

Undergraduate courses: Accounting for Business, Advanced Accounting, Taxes, Auditing, Accounting co-op coordination, Intermediate Accounting I & II.

Graduate courses: Financial and Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Accounting Information Systems, Assurance Services, Accounting Analytics.

In addition to the courses listed above, the candidates shall develop curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, serve as faculty advisor to the Accounting Club, coordinate undergraduate Accounting Co-op, have knowledge of evolving CPA exam requirements, and affiliations with MSCPA and AICPA.

Interested applicants should have relevant teaching and work experience, and hold either a Ph.D. in Accounting or a relevant Master’s degree with substantive professional/industry experience.
