Location: Duke University, Durham, NC
Report to: Professor James Roberts; Economics Department at Duke University
Start Date: July 1st, 2021
Length of Commitment: 24 months (renewable possible)
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Qualifying candidates will have:
-Received a doctorate
-Significant coursework and experience in economics
-Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
-Prior research experience preferred
-Self-motivating, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, successfully complete tasks assigned and meet deadlines.
Language Requirement: English (fluent)
Responsibilities:
The expectations for the position are to (i) engage in the intellectual life of the department (including seminars, workshops, and reading groups related to your research interests), (ii) pursue your research program, starting any new collaborations as these develop organically and as you see fit, (iii) participate in our teaching program.
Perform research remotely and on campus using University facilities without detailed supervision. Incumbents may guide the research of others and participate, to a limited degree, in classroom instruction.
