The Duke School of Engineering (Pratt) at Duke University invites applications for a Non Regular Rank Executive in Residence position in the Master of Engineering in FinTech program.
Successful candidates will be expected to:
• Teach 4 courses each year within the FinTech curriculum or other Pratt programs as applicable.
• Collaborate across department and school boundaries
• Develop and deliver applications oriented courses related to FinTech
• Connect and engage with industry partners regarding capstone projects, career opportunities, seminar discussions, and participation in an industrial advisory board
• Assist program Director with various program management functions.
• Contribute to the engineering master programs in other areas as-needed.
Ideal candidates will have deep experience in either an academic or corporate setting. They will also have a PhD, or commensurate industry experience/expertise in a FinTech related discipline such as finance, business or computer science. Practical buy and sell side financial services work experience is highly desirable. This experience might include; familiarity with trading, portfolio management, mid and/or back office operations, risk management, etc. Teaching/course development experience is strongly preferred. This position is expected to be full time, but other levels of commitment may be considered.
