We strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented and/or marginalized identities to apply.

The School of Integrative Plant Science (SIPS) at Cornell University invites applicants for a full-time Teaching Postdoctoral Associate with interest in developing skills and experience in university teaching, working with faculty on active learning practices, assessing impacts of active learning methods, and participating in discipline-based education research.

The Teaching Postdoctoral Associate will be appointed for a one-year period with the possibility of annual extensions for up to three years.

The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty to formulate learning objectives, develop active learning-based curriculum components that align with the learning objectives, provide feedback on course teaching practices, and assess learning gains, with a goal of publishing results in refereed journals. The discipline-based education research community is growing at Cornell; it is an exciting time to be involved. Academic units throughout campus are hiring teaching postdocs as a part of the university’s Active Learning Initiative. Postdocs are expected to engage with the Center for Teaching Innovation, participate in weekly seminars, and connect with the larger Cornell community.
