Duke Kunshan University
seeks applicants for a faculty position (rank open) in
the area of Medical Physics/Informatics to start as early as fall 2022. Duke Kunshan
University currently has a master’s program in Medical Physics, and is building
up its instructional and research capabilities in the areas of medical physics
and medical informatics, which will be broadened to include new frontiers in medical
physics such as AI applications in medical physics and health care.
Candidates must hold
a Ph.D. degree in an appropriate field at the time of application. Postdoctoral
research/training experience in either therapeutic or imaging physics or both with
an equivalent professional certification in one of medical physics specialties by
American Board of Radiology or equivalent is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate
an ability to conduct outstanding independent research, be an excellent teacher
(or show promise for excellent teaching and mentoring), and be capable of doing
community outreach/professional services. Senior candidates with strong
leadership skills in managing a graduate program are highly preferred. Fluency
in Chinese is preferred, but is not mandatory. Candidates whose research and/or
teaching are interdisciplinary centered on Medical Physics are strongly encouraged
to apply.
