The University of Massachusetts Medical School Graduate School of Nursing Program invites applications at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank for the Doctor of Nursing Practice faculty position. The University of Massachusetts Medical School Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) is part of an academic health science center at UMass Medical School focused on preparing doctorally-prepared nurse practitioners, advanced nursing practice leaders, and nurse scientists. This full time (1.0 FTE, benefitted) 12- month position includes teaching and practice scholarship responsibilities in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Our DNP program prepares graduate level non-RN’s with a Bachelor’s degrees or higher in a non-nursing field, RNs with a Bachelor’s degree and Post Master’s Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and nurse administrators. Candidates with a doctoral degree in nursing or related field, prior teaching experience, and an active program of practice and academic/clinical scholarship are preferred. National certification as a Family or Adult-Gerontology Acute or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and RN/NP licensure in Massachusetts is required. Salary and rank is commensurate with previous experience. The position will remain open until filled.
