We are searching for a motivated new lab manager interested in mouse developmemt.
Oversight of our mouse colony general health, welfare, and compliance with our animal protocols. Order mice, monitor for aging and sterile mice, set and check mouse matings, and bring mice to the lab for experiments. Maintain some genetic strains with PCR genotyping (30%).
Oversight over the laboratory equipment, maintenance of C02 and N2 tanks, ordering of lab supplies, reconcile invoices and receipts with grant statements. Place appropriate service requests (15%).
Manage requests for reagents and mice from outside labs and coordinate the import of mice from other labs (10%).
Write and manage the animal and safety protocols (15%).
Act as the Safety Officer in the lab. Manage the waste disposal and safety inspections (10%).
Experimental work is negotiable depending on interests (20%).
