Position Description:

The Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University (Durham, NC) invites applications for a part-time Non Regular Rank Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor position. The School is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach a graduate-level introductory course in systems engineering for masters students from multiple departments across the School of Engineering. This position is expected to be part time teaching 1-2 course sections per academic year on-campus at Duke University in Durham, N.C.

The successful candidate for this role will be expected to:

• Teach one or more graduate courses each year in systems engineering • Collaborate with faculty across multiple departments in the School of Engineering • Develop and deliver world class systems engineering courses

Candidates should have relevant industry experience in systems engineering, ideally for intelligent or autonomous systems in transportation, logistics, healthcare or other fields. They will also have a PhD in systems engineering or a related field (or commensurate industry leadership experience plus a masters degree). Prior teaching experience in a university setting is preferred but not required.
