Postdoc Position in Particle Physics Phenomenology

at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik, Heidelberg, Germany

The Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (MPIK) in Heidelberg, Germany, accepts applications for a postdoc position within the research group 'New Physics, Electroweak Symmetry Breaking, and Flavor' (NEWFO). The group has a wide range of interests, with a focus on physics beyond the SM, effective field theories, dark matter, Higgs physics and electroweak symmetry breaking, phase transitions & cosmology, flavor physics, and model building - candidates with a background in any of these fields are invited to apply.

Strong connections exist to the research of the theory group, which consists of members of the division ``Particle and Astroparticle Physics'' of M. Lindner, including E. Akhmedov, the Max-Planck-Fellow A.Y. Smirnov, the research group of W. Rodejohann (MANITOP) and about twenty postdocs and students. There are also close contacts with the experimental groups at the institute and with the research groups at Heidelberg University. Further information can be found at https://www.mpi-hd.mpg.de/mpi/newfo .

The appointment could already start beginning of 2022 for a period of 2 years. Applicants are requested to have a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment. The deadline for applications is October 25, 2021.
