| The Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the level of associate professor in Experimental Biophysics . The successful candidate should have a strong research portfolio and a well-established record of external funding. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who can form collaborations with OSU researchers in the biological sciences and related fields.

The successful candidate should have a strong research portfolio and a well-established record of external funding. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who can form collaborations with the department’s existing faculty in biophysics and plasmonics and within the university’s Oklahoma Pandemic Center for Innovation and Excellence located at OSU and with research groups across OSU.

The Department of Physics welcomes applications from outstanding candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the Physics Department. A Ph.D. in Physics is required, as well as the ability to teach physics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and the ability to mentor underrepresented students.

Appointments at the Associate Professor level are expected and a start date of August 15, 2022. Candidates should submit a curriculum vita, list of publications, a brief statement of research plans and teaching plans, cover letter and arrange for three letters of recommendation.
