A position for a Research Assistant Professor will be opening in the research group
of Prof. Adrienn Ruzsinszky with the earliest start date of January 1, 2022, in the
area of Condensed Matter Theory/Computational Materials Science.
Applicants should have expertise in the following areas: 1. Fundamentals of density
functional theory (DFT), 2. Strong background in programming in Python or Fortran,
and 3. Computational work in DFT for solids and surfaces. Expertise in machine
learning is highly desirable.
The applicant must have a PhD degree in Physics. A PhD degree in Theoretical
Chemistry is acceptable only if the applicant has had substantial experience
working in Condensed Matter Physics/Materials Science. Depending on the stage
of career, the applicant must also exhibit a strong publication record.
The salary will be commensurate with experience and achievement. Funding is
available from DOE resources. The position is renewable, depending upon
performance. The position remains open until filled.
