The Junior Research Group (JRG), “Holography and Black Holes”, of Asia Pacific Centre for Theoretical Physics (APCPT), Pohang, Korea invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position. This position is available from April 2022, but the starting date of the appointment is negotiable (e.g. fall 2022). 

APCTP, founded in 1996, is an international organization dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. APCTP offers a great research environment with strong connections to a number of active theoretical and experimental research groups at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). APCTP has broad international agreements with many leading institutions around the globe for scientific exchanges. 

 The Junior Research Group (JRG) " Holography and Black Holes" led by the JRG leader, prof. Junggi Yoon, has a broad interest on theoretical high energy physics. The postdoctoral fellow will primarily collaborate with Junggi Yoon on various topics in holography such as (but not limited to) 
  • Large N models
  • Black hole information problem
  • Low-dimensional quantum gravity
  • Higher spin gravity
  • Quantum chaos
  • Open quantum systems
  • TTbar deformation, etc. 
 The appointment is initially for one year but will be extended up to two additional years depending on the research performance.
