The Center for Integrative Developmental Science at Cornell University is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to help advance the research and strategic goals of the center.

Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Associate will have two primary responsibilities: (1) to work with the Human Health Labs https://www.human.cornell.edu/cids and collaborate on research projects focused on risk and resilience factors in health and well-being across the life course, and (2) support Center leadership in identifying and preparing grant proposals for competitive extramural funding. The Postdoctoral Associate will be supervised by Dr. Anthony Ong, Professor in the Department of Psychology and Director of the Human Health Labs and Center for Integrative Developmental Science.

Required Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have a PhD in psychology, human development, quantitative psychology, or a related area
  • Strong background/interests in health and well-being research within diverse family, community, and population contexts.
  • Strong analytic skills such as structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, and/or categorical analysis (e.g., growth mixture modeling) using R, Mplus, and/or SAS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with collecting and analyzing multi-wave longitudinal and intensive longitudinal data, including survey and biomarker data from measurement burst designs.
  • Evidence of independent scholarship, including a track record of peer-reviewed publications, and strong interpersonal and academic writing skills.
  • Interest or experience in preparing grant proposals for extramural funding. 

This is a full-time, 12-month academic position to be appointed annually, renewable up to three years contingent on successful performance, and offers a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and benefits package. The anticipated approximate start date is August 2022.

Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
