The Department of Physics & Astronomy at Vanderbilt University invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer. The successful candidate will assume instructional duties assigned by the Chair, including but not limited to oversight of the undergraduate laboratories for our first-year physics courses. Additional duties will include supervision of graduate teaching assistants and assistant lab managers, as well as maintenance and upgrading of laboratory and lecture demonstration equipment.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D., awarded no later than August 15, 2022, in physics or in a related field, and have a demonstrated commitment to effective teaching of diverse undergraduates. The Senior Lecturer appointment will be non-¬tenure track, renewable in three-year terms subject to satisfactory performance. The appointment will begin at the start of the 2022-2023 academic year. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
