Position Overview & Responsibilities

The Department of Computer Science at Merrimack College invites applications for a non-tenure-track open-rank instructional professor. The successful candidate for this non-tenure-track position must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching at the college level and will be expected to teach 16 contact hours per semester.

Qualifications: - A Master’s degree or higher in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field, and demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.

Also desired are: - ability to use technology effectively in the classroom - demonstrated interest in and experience with innovative pedagogies - understanding of and experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in STEM and beyond. - while strong candidates of all specialties will be considered, primary consideration will be given to candidates with specialties in Software Engineering, Cryptography, Cybersecurity, Differential Privacy, Intelligent Systems and Automation, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence; and web technologies.
