seeks applications for a full-time faculty position in broadcast journalism
for its nationally recognized Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, beginning
August 2022.

Qualifications
|
A bachelor’s degree is
required; a MA or other terminal degree is preferred. Previous teaching
experience is
preferred. The successful candidate will have significant professional experience working in national and/or local television newsrooms, as well as on digital and social media platforms. The successful candidate will be produced significant work that has achieved national and industry recognition.
|
We seek a candidate
with multimedia journalism experience who can teach students the storytelling
skills
needed today:
cross platform writing, videography, editing, social media. Ideally, the candidate will also have a solid understanding of investigate journalism as well as the production demands of field reporting and live newscast production.

Responsibilities
|
The successful candidate will teach four
courses in both the fall and spring semesters, which could include an
introductory class for
freshmen, and a capstone class of juniors and seniors that produces a weekly
newscast
seen live on local
cable, as well as other classes.
Other responsibilities include acting as
an academic advisor to students studying broadcast journalism and
documentary, and serving on Dodge College
faculty committees.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. This position is contingent on final
