The Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University is seeking a Non-Regular Rank Adjunct Professor to teach Masters-level cybersecurity classes. The ideal candidate will have commitment, passion, and excellence in teaching, this position would teach one class per semester in the areas of Web 3 in the Cybersecurity Masters program.  This role will  have the mentorship of Pratt’s outstanding regular-rank teaching faculty and not only polish their teaching skills, but also become immersed in the novel pedagogy used in these programs.   

This appointment would run from June 30, 2022 to July 31, 2023.

Web 3 technologies are advancing at ever an increasing rate, with security being a critical component of that evolution. We seek an instructor with experience to focus on Web3, with a significant emphasis on the current state of cybersecurity and the most critical needs moving forward, both from a technical as well as policy and regulatory perspective. Additional topic areas will include digital identity, securing proofing systems, encryption standards, core internet protocols and modern development tools. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering in both the Wed 2 & Web 3 spaces, be fluent in the technical aspects of cybersecurity, and preferably direct experience in a regulatory focused role that encompassed these areas of focus.
