Occupational Summary
The Duke University – Dynamical Systems Lab and Brain Tool Lab - seek an Assistant Research Professor to perform teaching roles in an NSF Traineeship and a research role in the advancement of surgical technologies.
Work Performed
Work with PhD Traineeship program leadership to deliver and revise curriculum for a National Research Traineeship. Additional duties include separate research efforts for an NIH funded research project within the Brain Tool Lab and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in their research projects.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required. Should have a background in translational medical research.
Experience
Must have extensive experience in medical technologies research and translational medical technologies.
Skills
Knowledge of programming in Matlab and Python. The applicant should also have demonstrated the ability to help managing large groups and a proven track record of proposal preparation.
