The Dean’s Office in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University (Durham, NC) invites applications for an Associate in Research to act as a coaching fellow. The primary goal of this Coaching Fellows Program is to help reimagine the advising experience
for Pratt undergraduates by providing a 360 (whole student) Coach to each first-year student to
substantially enhance their transition to university life and beyond. They will help students become
successful self-regulating and self-actuating Duke engineering undergraduates. This will also enable us
to promote a more organized and transparent “network of advisors” for students to assist them in
finding the right resources for their specific needs. Simultaneously it will build a supportive and
knowledgeable Coaching Corps with expertise and experience to provide continuity in advising.
