We are seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Fellow for our unique on-going studies of the structure and function of prefrontal cortical pathways in rhesus monkeys. Our lab combines anatomical and viral tracing with in vivo electrophysiological recordings in anesthetized preparations, optogenetic stimulation and whole cell patch-clamp recording with cell filling in in vitro slices, to investigate the cellular and synaptic properties of prefrontal circuits involved in cognitive and emotional control, decision-making and integration. Preferred expertise includes optogenetics, optical methods and imaging of voltage-sensitive dyes, and confocal microscopy.
