Assistant Professor Department of Neurosurgery, Integrated Spine Program: University of Maryland Medicine is expanding and integrating the spine program across neurosurgery, orthopedics, Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland Medical Center, and the Baltimore VA Medical Center. As part of this expansion and integration, the Department of Neurosurgery is seeking to recruit a contributing full time neurosurgeon with expertise in managing complex spinal disorders. The faculty member will split time between the University of Maryland Medical Center, Shock Trauma Center, and the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor, non-tenure track, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with candidate’s experience.

Candidates must be board certified/eligible in neurosurgery and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care, research and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Successful applicants should be academically minded and preferably, should have successfully completed a complex spine fellowship.
