The Department of Physics at Boston University seeks applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Theoretical Cosmology, to begin on July 1, 2023. This position is one of a number of positions that will be associated with a new Cosmology Initiative involving the Department of Physics and the Department of Astronomy (see also https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/22338). Searches to fill the first two positions are being carried out in AY22/23, and a search to fill a third position is anticipated for AY23/24. 

Applications are sought from researchers in all areas of theoretical cosmology, including those whose broad approach is at the intersection of cosmology, quantum field theory, and particle physics.  The successful candidates will be early-career scientists who will lead robust research programs and participate fully in the teaching missions at the introductory, majors, and graduate levels in the Astronomy or Physics departments. Minimum qualifications include a PhD in Astronomy, Physics, Engineering, or related fields, with postdoctoral experience expected.
