The Economics Department at Colgate University invites applications for two tenure-stream positions beginning fall semester 2023. We are looking for top teacher-scholars, particularly in public economics, urban economics, poverty, and related fields. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to, public policy and program evaluation, public finance, political processes, poverty and inequality, housing, and race. At least one of the positions will also be expected to teach undergraduate econometrics. We expect to hire at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates will be considered at the Associate or Full Professor level. Colgate is a top liberal arts college in a rural community in central New York. Colgate faculty are committed to excellence in both teaching and scholarship. All Colgate faculty are required to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Completion of Ph.D. prior to or shortly after the date of hire is required.
