Chapman University and Dodge College of Film and Media Arts seek applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position in Creative Producing (with a focus on Production Management) beginning August 2023.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have teaching experience and significant professional experience in producing in the areas of scheduling and budgeting (using Movie Magic software), production and production management with experience at a major, mini-major or independent television and/or film production company.  Secondarily, knowledge of all business aspects of development, and pre-production thru post-production will be included as well as experience.  While a terminal degree is preferred, equivalent professional experience will be considered.

The successful candidate will be committed to teaching first as well as to continuing his or her own professional work.

Responsibilities

Faculty duties include teaching, oversight of all Production and Set Management student needs, Advanced Production and Thesis projects, academic advising, program development and service to the school and university. The teaching load is 24 credits per academic year, in addition to continued professional work and/or research and scholarship.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications with a range of $95,000-$105,000. Successful completion of a background check is required for the final candidate.
