The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Theoretical Physics. The successful candidate will join the group of James Bonifacio, with emphasis on the following research areas: cosmology, gravitational physics, amplitudes, field theory, geometry, and the conformal bootstrap. Other theory research faculty members of the department include Luca Bombelli, Alakabha Datta, Anuradha Gupta, and Leo Stein. A PhD in physics/mathematics or a related area is required by the time of the initial appointment. The initial position is for two years, and funding is available for a third year subject to satisfactory performance. 

The position is expected to start in August 2023 with some flexibility.
