The High Energy Theory Group at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) plans to hire a few postdoctoral researchers in the following field of research.
- Quantum field theory, string theory, and mathematical physics (broadly defined)
- Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics, including but not limited to model building, dark matter, cosmology, and collider physics.
KAIST is the first and top science and technology university in Korea and one of Asia's top universities. It is located in Daejeon, which is at the center of South Korea and well-connected to the entire country via high-speed train.
The High Energy Theory Group at KAIST consists of 5 faculty members: Sungwoo Hong, Heeyeon Kim, Hye-Sung Lee, Minho Son, and Jaewon Song.
The initial appointment is for two years and is extendable for one extra year upon performance review and funding situation. The expected starting date is March 1st or September 1st, 2023, but it is negotiable.
