The research group of Asst. Prof. Zhi-Cheng Yang at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, School of Physics, Peking University, specializing in non-equilibrium quantum many-body dynamics and quantum information science, is seeking candidates at the postdoctoral level, to start in the Fall of 2023. Candidates should have received a Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics before the start date, and hold a strong publication record in related research fields. Previous research experience in quantum chaos, quantum thermalization, quantum entanglement, ergodicity breaking, and quantum simulation is preferred. Research expertise in computational methods and/or field-theoretic techniques is also highly desirable.
The positions are generally made for a term of two years and can be extended for an additional year subject to performance review and funding situation. The starting date of the positions is flexible. The positions offer a competitive salary and benefits, including research fundings, housing subsidies and travel expenses. The applicants may also apply for “Boya postdoctoral fellow” in March 2023, which provides even more competitive benefits (see https://postdocs.pku.edu.cn/tzgg/134996.htm).
Applications received before January 31, 2023 will receive full consideration. The review of applications will start immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Prospective candidates should submit a cover letter, a Curriculum Vitae (including a full list of publications), a statement of research interests (within two pages), and arrange for 3 reference letters to be sent electronically via AJO. Questions can be sent directly to Prof. Zhi-Cheng Yang (zcyang19@pku.edu.cn). |
