The MIT Statistics and Data Science Center at the Institute for Data,
Systems, and Society is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral
Associate in the general areas of statistical learning, reinforcement
learning, and theoretical statistics.
Applicants should have a solid background in probability and
statistics/machine learning. The postdoctoral fellow will be mentored
by Alexander Rakhlin (MIT).
We will start reviewing applications on December 15th. This will be a
one-year appointment beginning on July 1, 2023 (or earlier), with the
possibility of renewal for a second year based upon satisfactory
performance.
Job Requirements:
Required: a Ph.D. (expected or obtained) in statistics, engineering,
computer science, mathematics, economics, operations research, or a
related field; strong analytical and written communication skills;
ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment; and a
commitment to participating in IDSS activities.
